Introduction
This Accessibility Statement explains how we try to make our website usable by everyone — including people with disabilities or those using assistive technology — and what to do if you run into a problem.
We’re a small student-run team, so we won’t pretend our website is perfect. But we take accessibility seriously and we’d much rather hear about an issue than have you struggle in silence.
Our Commitment
We believe everyone should be able to book a graduation gown without obstacles. Our aim is for our website to be accessible to the widest possible audience, regardless of ability or technology.
We work towards meeting the Web Content Accessibility Guidelines (WCAG) 2.1 at Level AA. We’re not at full conformance everywhere yet, but it’s the standard we’re building towards.
What We’re Doing
To help make our website accessible, we’ve taken these steps:
2.1 Design and development.
We design with accessibility in mind — clear layouts, readable fonts, sufficient colour contrast — and we aim for our website to work well with assistive technology like screen readers.
2.2 Navigation.
We provide clear, consistent navigation throughout the site. Pages are structured with proper headings so you can move through content easily, whether you’re scrolling, using a keyboard, or using a screen reader.
2.3 Images.
We use alternative text for images so that screen reader users can understand what the images show.
2.4 Forms.
Our booking form and any other forms on the site are designed with clear labels and instructions to help you complete them accurately.
2.5 Keyboard navigation.
We aim for every interactive element on the site — buttons, links, form fields — to be reachable and usable with a keyboard alone, without needing a mouse.
2.6 Ongoing improvements.
We review the site regularly and update things as we go. Accessibility isn’t a one-off project — it’s something we keep working on.
Known Limitations
We try to make our website as accessible as we can, but we know there are still gaps. Some content — particularly older posts or content from third parties — may not yet meet every accessibility standard. We’re working through these as we find them.
If you come across an accessibility barrier on our site, please tell us so we can fix it.
Third-Party Content
Our website uses some content and tools from third parties — for example, embedded social media posts, payment forms, or links to other sites. We can’t always guarantee the accessibility of third-party content, but we choose partners that take accessibility seriously where we can.
Need Help?
If you’re having trouble using our website or you need help with anything, get in touch — we’d much rather walk you through it than have you give up.
We can help with:
Placing a booking, answering questions about gowns, providing information in a different format if it’s useful to you, and anything else where the website is in your way.
5.1 How to reach us.
Once you’re booked in, we coordinate the rest via WeChat or WhatsApp.
Feedback
We genuinely want to hear from you about the accessibility of our website.
We take all feedback seriously and aim to respond within five working days. Your input helps us improve the experience for every graduate.
Changes to This Statement
We update this Accessibility Statement regularly to reflect the work we’re doing on the site. The current version is always on this page, and the date at the top tells you when it was last revised.
